TONE: Talents Of New Europe – Virtual meetings

The project Talents Of New Europe (TONE) is an Erasmus + project (Key Action 2 – Strategic
Partnerships for adult education) which aims to create a connection between creative
newcomers of any status (including migrants and refugees) with European or local citizens and
creative institutions through an innovative methodology.

Due to the restrictions caused by the pandemic, to date it has not been possible to hold a face-
to-face meeting between the project partners. However, we continue to work online, and we
hope to develop the planned activities in the near future.

5 European organizations are involved in the project: ZID Theater (Netherlands), Odin Teatret /
Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium (Denmark), Madrid Residui Theater Association (Spain), COREP –
SCT Social Community Theater Center (Italy) and Asociación Cultural Integra (Spain). Partners
are experienced with International and European scale Projects and experts in their fields. Two
theatre organizations, one university organization, an international research and training
institute (review definition of partners) and a European project expert organization are
forming a partnership with a strong background in working with communities and socially
excluded or disadvantaged groups, but also migrants and refugees within their own country.
All partners believe that theatre could and should actively facilitate and stimulate intercultural
dialogue, better and deeper understanding and solidarity amongst European citizens, refugees,
migrants, newcomers and the arts sector.

In order to achieve that goal of greater integration of refugees, asylum seekers and migrants in
Europe within the artistic sector, the project partners will develop a training manual, an
intermediation guide and a digital platform, in addition to holding training sessions with
migrants or refugees about of the methodology developed to facilitate their labour insertion in
the European artistic sector.
